Duke Beats Virginia Tech, 75-60

On February 2nd on the road, the Blue Devils beat the Hokies, 75-60, in conference action.

The Blue Devils played a decent game, winning by a larger margin than expected. The Duke RPI ranking was higher than Virginia Tech (#2 to #83). Last season, Duke went 1-1 against Virginia Tech. Over the last four years, the Blue Devils have a record of 6-1 with a record of 3-1 at Cassell Coliseum.

Duke defeated Virginia Tech while showing domination in assists, and also came out ahead in three pointers.

Gaining an advantage at the three-point line, Duke rang up a sizeable 24 points, beating a total of nine by Virginia Tech. Duke beat Virginia Tech with assists, 12 to five, and facilitated more balanced scoring.

Austin Rivers put up the most points for the Blue Devils with 18 points in 35 minutes, shooting 63% from the floor, including 12 points coming from beyond the 3-point arc. Rivers also helped out with a game-leading five assists.
