| Duke drops four spots in this week's AP Top 25 poll, falling to #8. The Blue Devils join four ACC teams in the poll, the others being North Carolina at #7, Virginia (#19), and Florida State (#23). Duke started off the week with a win at home over Wake Forest, 91-73. That was followed by an upset loss at home against Florida State, 76-73.
North Carolina moves up one spot in the poll following a single game that resulted in a win at Virginia Tech, 82-68.
Virginia moves down four places after a win against Georgia Tech, 70-38 and a loss to Virginia Tech, 47-45. Florida State enters the poll at #23 after wins against Duke and Maryland, 84-70.
Kentucky takes back the number one ranking following a week in which they first got a victory at home against Arkansas, 86-63. After that came another win at home against Alabama, 77-71. Syracuse falls from the number one ranking with a win against Pittsburgh, 71-63 and a loss to Notre Dame, 67-58.
Joining Florida State as a newcomer, Wisconsin enters the Top 25 at #25 with a win at home over Northwestern, 77-57 and an upset win at then-22nd ranked Illinois, 67-63. Illinois drops out of the Top 25 this week with an upset loss at Penn State, 54-52 and an upset loss at home to Wisconsin. Louisville also drops out this week.
